President Mulatu holds talks with UAE's Foreign Minister

President Dr. Mulatu Teshome yesterday received Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheik Abdullah bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyanat.

The two sides discussed on the outcome of the Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC) meeting and the need to finalize and conclude further agreements and MoUs to strengthen the mutual cooperation and engagement between the two countries.

Taking note of the JMC and high level meetings to be a reflection of the high bondage between the two countries, they underlined the 500 million US dollars trade volume recorded by the UAE investors to be of below the existing potentials of both countries.

Sheik Abdullah bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyanat expressed UAE's strong desire and commitment to expand the areas of cooperation and further explore the bilateral relationship.

Noting that the UAE Embassy in Addis Ababa is the first UAE mission in Africa, he expressed his county's desire to double its mission and increase its presence in Africa. FBC stated from MOFA.
